Coiled Tubing Unit

Reel

Tubing reel is one of the key components of CTU, used for winding and transporting the coiled tubing, which determines the transport size of the CTU and the length of the coiled tubing. Its main function is to work with the injection head to lower the steel coiled tubing into the well and inject the necessary media into the wellbore through the tubing manifold. After the operation, the tubing reel wraps the coiled tubing around its barrel for transport.

Injection head

The main function of the injection head is to clamp the coiled tubing to overcome its own gravity, the friction of the wellbore on the coiled tubing and the upward jacking force of the downhole pressure on the coiled tubing, and to control the speed of the coiled tubing according to the needs of the operation, so as to push the coiled tubing into the well, or to lift it out of the wellbore, or to suspend it in the wellbore, or to lift it up and release it from the jam when it encounters obstruction in the operation.
